ANOTHER tooth?????

Today Anna was eating deli meat (YES she finally ate some form of meat!!) and I saw a flash of something white... I opened her little mouth and there was a new tooth on the bottom!! (her bottom left) It is showing a good bit of white so it must have broken through a few days ago and I didn't even know it!!! I also feel a lot more bumps in her mouth so no telling how many teeth she will get this month haha. May have a full mouth by Nov :)

She is also saying some new words...

  • Peas
  • Up
  • Eyes
  • She will bark when you say "what does the doggie say?" or if she hears a dog barking.
  • She will say "Me-Now" when you ask "what does the kitty say?"
  • If you ask "what does Santa say?" and then say "ho ho ho" she will say "ho ho ho"

She has been "nodding" for a month or two now and will nod yes when you ask her if she likes something (even adds a "mm hmmmm" sometimes)

She's getting better at walking and walks pretty much every where.... I've probably only seen her crawl once or twice in the past week and it's only when she's on the ground already trying to escape our "attacks".

She LOOOOVES to head bump. She sings ALL the time and will even somewhat mimic the sounds of Little Bunny Foo Foo and will say "row row row" for Row row row your boat.

TEETH

Anna has 4 teeth (on the top) coming in all at once.
The top left (her left) broke through about 4 days ago and it looks like the top right broke through today!! Two more to go.

The good news is she is not fussy AT ALL when her teeth are coming in (hope this keeps up) and it doesn't affect her sleep at all. She is also not excessively drooly (yay!)

Can't wait to see what she looks like with 4 new teeth!!! My little gummy baby is growing up :(

Taken by Tate

I have this friend that I've known since my sophomore year in high school (??)... long story short we lost touch - but thanks to Facebook - we found each other again and picked right back off (better than) where we left off. She is an amazing photographer (no sis - she will never replace you haha) but seriously - she's great. Tate is great. That was lame. Check out her blog if ya get a sec : http://tatecathcart.blogspot.com

Anyway -- she was doing a photoshoot in PTC so Anna and I met her at the PTC library before her shoot so we could catch up a little and so she could have a little fun taking pics of my stunningly beautiful daughter (ok, sorry - proud mom moment). AC was in a good mood and didn't even need "warm up" time which is pretty rare for her. She went right into smiling and being a little chatter box.

Here are some of the pics she took... To be fair to all the pics and so I don't have a SUPER long post - I'm only posting the full color ones. Aren't these amazing???

What's New with AC

Oh lets see....

She will say "book" and actually associates it with a book. She barks back at dogs when they bark (or when she sees them). She will specifically request "cheese", "apple" (pineapple), "chee toe" (cheese toast), "Ma-Na, Ma-Na" (banana), "Juuu" (Juice), "Mocha-Mo" (macaroni) and a few others...

She says "La-Ju" (love you) and blows kisses a lot. She's walking a lot and loves the freedom. She is really beginning to understand what words mean and even putting words together like "good baby" or "no Piper"

She is still on her fruit & cheese kick. Here are her typical daily meals:
Breakfast: cheese toast, grapes, mandarin oranges, greek yogurt, half a banana
Snack: waffle
Lunch: Macaroni & cheese, grapes, pineapple, peas, cheese stick (attempts at chicken nuggets, ham or some other meat)
Snack: Goldfish crackers
Dinner: More macaroni & cheese, more grapes, more mandarin oranges, more peas, attempts at meats and carrots (both failed), more cheese stick...

Yes, we are stuck in a food rut- but we are trying. We try to give her what we eat - and she's not interested. She did eat 1/4 of an avocado today! Little victory ;)

She is SOOO funny - has a really big personality and is very expressive with her face and hands. She sings ALL the time - especially when we are in the car. She will sing "row row row your boat" and "little bunny fufu" (and by that she mimics the tune of the song and kinda mumbles the words in her own little language - but if you didn't know what she was trying to sing you wouldn't be able to decipher hahaha)

She still sleeps like a CHAMP - about 8pm - 9am. Love it!! Still taking 2 naps a day - about 1hr each. She wakes up SO happy in the mornings and after each nap. We love to go get her because she is so quirky.... she will giggle and throw herself around in the bed trying to escape from you.

She will hand you stuff when you ask for it, she will find stuff if you say "get your juice cup" or "get the book". She LOVES to lounge on pillows or blankets. She has pretty awesome stacking skills and can stack these little wooden toys on the posts which to me is pretty impressive considering the size of the hole in the blocks.

When we say "1, 2, 3...." she will say "UP!" and will yell "GOON" when we get to that part of Little Bunny Foo Foo and will say "Peek-a-boo" when we cover our face (or when she covers hers).

I think I've covered a lot of this already - I really need to go back and cross reference old posts.

She's up to about 40+ words (about 10 of them being variations of what the word should be - but sounds pretty similar) and knows what most of them mean (as in actually attaches them to something). She will repeat pretty much anything we say.

I have a bunch of videos I've been taking of her that I have GOT to put on here - but here is some from my phone.

This is one of her dancing (just ignore Chris and my friend Staci talking in the background.....)

My friend Tate took some pics of her but I'll post on that shortly - in the meantime I'll leave you with some pics of Anna seeing geese for the first time. She barked at them - but I think she liked them :)

Weekly update

Still a lot to catch up on... the older AC gets the harder it seems to blog.

In "us" news... Chris surprised me and bought the Silhouette machine I've been wanting!! It's awesome :) We also got new counter tops in the kitchen and are re-doing the back splash!!! Yesssss.

Ok enough about us....

Anna has been saying "Peek a Boo" non stop and will even cover her face now to play it with us (instead of just using a blanket). She also plays peek a boo with Piper through the safety gate.

She now calls 'belly buttons' BoBo's. I was laying on the sofa and she lifted my shirt and said BOBO. And it has just stuck :)

Today she said "Diaper" - just as clear as day!!! She was taking out all the diapers from her basket saying "Diaper! Diaper!" She can also say PooPoo too hahhahaha

I can't remember if I ever noted that she says "love you" (sounds like LaJu).

When we ask her if she likes a certain food she will say "Mmm Hmmm" and nod her head yes hahahah we love that.

She walks a lot now and just a few days ago started standing up on her own in the middle of the room (not pulling up on anything).

She holds up pretty much ANYTHING to her ear (phones, remotes, toys, pieces of paper) and pretends to talk on the phone.... always starts with "AhLa (hello)" followed by alblalbllblalb ablblablabl lllallalallavllb hahhahha but she thinks she's having a conversation.

Still have NO CLUE what she's going to be for Halloween.... thinking....

And now I'll leave you with some pics we took last night.

And the cute little outfit came from my pen pal Amber in Australia - and the headband from my friends Katie and Kirsten. Isn't she the cutest in her little vintage fashions?? Glad I have cool friends to help me keep her in style!
