Just today AC added 2 new words... "More" (mo) and "Cheese Toast" (dee doe) I captured a few videos that I've GOT to add.... Promise I will soon

Words Anna Says

I can't believe how much Anna talks. She has been quite the chatty cathy since she was born just making noises. I post videos here and there of words she says (and understands what they mean and attaches them to what they are) but I figured I'd make a list just so I can keep up with them all.

• Night Night (Ni Ni - now she says it when we say "are you getting sleepy?" she will say "ni ni")

• Banana (Ma-na Ma-na - but she knows what it means. She will ask for it or when I hold one up she will say Ma-na Ma-na)
  
• Becca (my friend Becca came over and I said "say Becca" and she did. Now she just says it all the time... I think it's the new "ta-ga" and She doesnt attach this one with her - but she says it when we say it. )
  
• Kitty (Kee Kee or just kee)
• Ball (Baw)
• Hi (you gotta here the way she says this.... she says it just like we say it to her! So cute!)

Also I never blogged about the cute little thing she does when we get her out of bed. We only give her the paci when she's in the crib or in the car, so when we go to get her we say "drop the paci" and she will take it out and either drop it in the crib or hand it to us!! So smart!!!

"Bippy"

I have SO much blogging to catch up on before AC's 1st birthday!!!! Ahhhhhh. I've been taking a lot of little videos and a few pictures - so I'll try to catch up soon.

Just wanted to post a pic of AC and her "Bippy". This is the name Chris gave her blanket. I was never fond of the name and was hoping she would come up with something better - but the other day we gave her one that came out of the wash and she hugged it and said BIP-PY. Well... that was it. It will forever be known as "Bippy". She has 3 of them. They are all little soft blankets with animal heads. Most of the time they are only in the crib with her when she goes to sleep or in the car.... but when I gave her Bippy when it came out of the wash - she carried that thing EVERYWHERE with her. I had to pry it out of her hands so she could eat (ok correction, I TRIED to pry it out of her hands.... she won. Bippy now has banana on him. Back to the wash Bippy.) It's just so sweet I can't help but to love the name. If you ask her where Bippy is she will find it, pick it up, hug it and say "Bip-py... Bip-py".

She just melts my heart every day. We are so lucky.

In the pic she was watching the deer eat our tomatoes. *sigh*

Last July 4th Post

Ok, I PROMISE this is the last post for today. Chris was out of town and we were really bored ;)

I just loved AC's little flag dress, and wasn't totally satisfied with the snap shots I took at the parade. It was way too sunny, so I had to redo the shoot :)

A few front yard pics. She LOVED the flags and would not hold them still - but I think it's pretty funny. She was squealing and waving them around.

Anna's Baby Doll

Sorry for so many posts today... We were just playing in the playroom and Anna started loving on her baby doll and I thought it was just too cute. She will hug it and say (and squeal) baby over and over.

Names Anna Knows

I just think it's fun to get AC to repeat stuff. My friend Becca came over to mom and dad's house and I said "Anna can you say Becca?" and she said Be-ca, be-ca, be-ca.... she is so funny. Anyway we are bored so I thought Id get her to run through the names she knows (mama, dada, piper and becca):)

Climbing Stairs

Sorry! This is an old post that never got posted!! Oops!

I knew AC liked to climb when she started climbing on the fireplace... but I never let her get near the stairs so I had NO idea she could actually climb the stairs... like ALL the stairs!! And man - she's fast!!

In other Anna news - over the past 2 or so weeks she has finally decided that crawling is the preferred method of transportation. I think she just hated crawling on the hard floor because when we went to Caron and Michael's house (where they have carpet) - that's all she did was crawl. When we brought her home she would crawl till she got to the hardwood floor and then scoot. I guess it was just too hard. Then she just decided the heck with it and now crawls EVERYWHERE. And again - she's FAST. She is standing a lot more now and will occasionally look like she wants to take a step but none yet.

We've also been giving her more and more finger foods and she is choosing them over her old baby foods. She loves yogurt, grapes, bananas, mac and cheese, peas and ritz crackers. She will try anything but will let you know when she doesnt like something (ie raspberries! How can she NOT like raspberries????)

Her 1st birthday is right around the corner and I've been working on her party stuff. Chris was able to change his schedule to have her birthday day off which is awesome!

She is just the happiest most delightful baby. I just love her more and more every day!!! She always cracks us up with the silly things she does. I never could have imagined the love I have for her!!

4th of July

Yesterday Chris, Anna and I went to the local parade in downtown Newnan. Anna LOVED watching all the cars and floats go by.... and she loved the beads and flags they gave out too!

Today our friend Beth (in pictures) came over at 6:30am to watch Anna while Chris and I ran the Peachtree. She did great and was asleep again when we got home.

Chris and I finished in 1hr 6min (ok, well technically 1hr 10min but I took a 4 min pit stop at the 1 mile marker) which is only 3 minutes slower than our 2008 time. It's not too bad considering we have not trained at ALL!! I've run about 10 times - but not any in the past month and a half. It's just been too darn hot! So anyway - I was pleased with our time. We are going to try to run another 10k to qualify for next year's Peachtree in a faster time group.

We were kinda rushed this morning and Chris had to rush off to work after so I didn't even get pics of us at the Peachtree. We had one of the Peachtree photo people take one of us at the beginning and under the photo bridge so we will at least have those.

Now it's just me and AC at home for the 4th. I may drive her somewhere to watch the fireworks downtown... or we may just stay on the sofa :)
