First off - Happy 18months to our sweet little girl!! Man - already half way to her next birthday??? Seriously- WHERE does the time go??????
Yesterday I laid AC down for a nap (well, I knew she wouldn't sleep, but just a little detox). She played, and sang, and talked... then I her her say "Uh Oh! Baby Go!!" I flipped on the monitor and she was looking over the side of the crib where apparently she had dropped Baby Go. I was in the process of painting her playroom so I tried to get to a stopping point. She started crying for Baby Go and I was at a good point to stop so I started wrapping up my brushes. Flipped on the monitor and she was still looking over the edge of the crib and whining for Baby Go. Washed my hands, walked into her room and OMG - THERE SHE WAS!!! Standing in her room outside the crib (holding Baby Go of course)!!! I have no idea how she did it - I didn't hear any SCREAMS (just the whiny cry for baby go) so I don't think she fell out... but she's NOT a climber so I don't know how she could have climbed out.....I'm seriously perplexed!!!
Anyway - I loved on her and checked her over to make sure she was ok. She didin't seemed phased in the least that she got out of her crib on her own... as long as she had Baby Go hahaha.
So that was fun.
As I said - I'm working on her play room. I had NO idea how much she loved it in there. The past week or so she has been banging on the gate downstairs and saying "Pay - go pay" ("pay" is "play") so we will go upstairs and she will just play her little heart out. It didn't even occur to me though that if we didn't go up for a few days she would notice! Oh boy has she ever. She has been begging, banging on the door, screaming to go play in the play room. Unfortunately ALL of her toys are in my office (should I say crammed in my office) and the room is in a complete state of disarray. I'm finishing up the painting and book cases today so hopefully we can at least get it back together for her tonight to resume play. The rest will just have to come in pieces.
AC was DYING to "pay" so I let her play in the office.... see how crammed we are in here??

She is still doing great at telling us when she has to pee or poop - usually only once or twice a day -but she recognizes when she's about to go. We still haven't started the official potty training yet. I may wait a few more months or until after the beach... haven't decided yet. Today I had to take some pics of her on the potty (G-rated of course) because she is SO funny when she is on there. She sings and talks and plays peek-a-boo, and eats.... This is her singing itsy bitsy spider and eating a snack hahaha

She is talking non stop... copies EVERYTHING we say. I don't even keep up with how many words or what words she says any more because she literally will repeat pretty much anything we say. Sometimes we have to figure out what she is saying, but once we get it we work with her to say it more clearly. Other stuff (like Oko, Baby Go, Ma-na-ma-na, Mocha-mo) we liked so much we say it. I even write "Oko" on the grocery list for yogurt hahahha.
She has picked up the first 2 lines of twinkle twinkle little star but only sings it in her bed in the morning so I haven't gotten a video yet - but still amazed at how in tune she is when she sings her string of "words" that sound like the song ahaha.
I think that's all for now. I'll keep you posted on the playroom!!
