Instagram Photos

There is an app on my iphone called Instagram.  It lets you take pics and add a little 'old school' feel to them.  I didn't realize I could embed them in my blog but now that I know I can I'll post the link here and try to keep it updated!

Recent updates

I'm going to be brief and hopefully come back and elaborate later.

Recent things going on:

We went to North Carolina to see Philip and Kayla get married!!!! Beautiful wedding and if I ever find the time I'll post some pics I took. Anna Claire loved every minute of it!! She was SO well behaved and loved dancing (and dancing and dancing and jumping and jumping and jumping....)  She even got the very first piece of wedding cake!!!! (Wasn't that sweet of Uncle Philip and Aunt Kayla!?)

Preschool is going good.  She is getting out of the car and saying bye bye or see ya later to us instead of crying .  She gets back in the car and tells us all about her day!!  I have LOVED seeing all the artwork she brings home (I've been taking pics and scanning some so I'll post those soon) and loved hearing songs they sing and things they do.

Last weekend she stayed home with Chris while I went to Columbus  to run my first marathon.  Chris brought her down the day of and I got to see them cheer me on at mile 13 and again at the finish line!!!

She LOVES to color... and loves to tell us to draw something (her favorites right now are monkeys, horses, pirates and planes - I think she got these from Yo Gabba Gabba this show she watches) Anyway- I'm HORRIBLE at drawing so a few days ago I said "how about a sunshine" and drew a circle with lines coming out - you know, a typical sunshine ;)  I drew two of them and then SHE started drawing them!  I'm impressed with her ability to copy what I do!!  Here is the video of her drawing sunshines.

And today she drew this and said "It's a MONKEY! See tha eyes and nooose and da mowth?"
And actually - I can kinda see the eyes nose and mouth!!!!

Tonight (when she was supposed to be in bed) she wanted to color so I gave her a pencil.  I have shown her how to draw the letter "A" (up, down, across) and have shown her recently how to do an N.  When she was drawing she said "Up, down, across" and made the letter A!  Then she made an N, another N, and A... then said "That's Anna!!"  I couldn't believe it!! She just wrote her name!!!  She has known for about a month now how to spell her name (she will tell us to write an A, N, Another N, A) but this was the first time she tried to write it and it was GOOD!  The "Ns" need a little work haaha but still for a kid that just turned 2 at the end of July I'd say not too bad!!!!  Sorry the pic isn't great - its a phone photo.

Another cool thing she's learned is to count in spanish!!  We always play a little game where we will alternate saying numbers (in english or spanish and we do the alphabet too) - it's one of her favorite games.  Anyway - we do that with spanish numbers and she can say them all no matter who starts, but she's never said them all in a row until tonight!!  Here is a video - at this point she was done and moved on to other things so I couldn't get her to say them in a row like she did, but you get the idea... You may have to turn your volume way up.

That's all for now - there are more I'm sure so I'll come back to fill in the blanks ;)
