Sweetest Wolf Bait
I entered AC in a little Halloween photo contest for Our 365 (the folks that took the birth pics at the hospital) and they emailed back saying she was a finalist!! Once the photos become finalists people can vote on the pics. Unfortunately I wasn't proactive enough in getting votes - but they did pick her as a runner up and titled her pic "Sweetest Wolf Bait" hehehe

Tooth brushing time
"Tees, Tees.... brwus tees"
That would be AC's way of telling me she wants to brush her teeth. She LOOOOVES to brush her teeth. One day I was trying to finish getting my makeup and she was getting into everything so I picked her up and put her feet in the sink, sat her on the side and handed her a toothbrush. I showed her how to turn on the water, rinse off the toothbrush and brush her teeth. It didn't take long at all before she was playing with the faucet and rinsing her toothbrush off between brushes.
Now she is OBSESSED with sitting on the sink and brushing her teeth with me. She will even get HER toothbrush off the holder, turn on the water, and start brushing all by her self - no prompting from me!
The only problem... she wants to do it for about 30minutes. I literally have to pull the toothbrush away from her and listen to her fuss for about 2 min until I can distract her ;) Here is a little video ;)

Callaway Lights & Santa
Chris and I decided to try for an annual event and head to the Callaway Nights of Lights. Last year we took Anna when she was only 5 months old, but we had a great time looking at the lights and walking around inside the tent area.
This year we were a little nervous about how she would react to Santa (last year she was ok for a few shots then started fussing when she realized I wasnt holding her) but we were just prepared for anything.
We started by taking her to Santa and just pointing to him and waving. We went on a Wednesday so it wasn't crowded at all!!! No line for Santa so we could stand there until she got warmed up. We told the people taking the pic that if she screamed or tried to wiggle down - just get the funniest screaming pic. When we decided to go ahead and give it a try I walked her up there and put her in his lap. She just kinda seemed stunned for a few seconds and then started shaking her finger and saying "No.... No..... No!!!" and then reaching out her arms for me. I snapped a few pics of her (actually got one good one) and got some pretty cute pouty faces! Here are a few I took...
And this is the one we got from Callaway (sorry the quality is bad - the scanner isn't hooked up so this is a phone pic)
After Santa we sat down and enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate while we waited for our time slot to see the lights (we changed our minds and decided to take our car instead of the trolley because it was FREEZING so that pushed us back an hour).... and AC enjoyed her candy cane from Santa. She pretty much ate the whole thing!

Anna had SUCH a great time walking around and waving to pretty much everyone. There were people dressed up as a ginger bread man, nut cracker, rudolph and a penguin walking around there too. Anna Claire LOVED seeing them from a distance - but no closer than about 5 feet away ahhaha. She would literally track them down and chase after them to wave at them but then when they would walk up to her she would start giggling and run away.
At one point the toy soldier was sitting down in a rocking chair near us and Anna had SUCH a good time walking over to him and peeking at him then running away. We have a lot of videos of her doing this I will post soon. All of these are pics of her flirting with the nutcracker (not pictured because I had the wrong lens on)
The child would literally do circles around the entire tent just walking and waving.... walking and saying bye.... to EVERYONE. We got the biggest kick out of it - and fortunately since it wasnt crowded she could do this :)
Finally it was time to go see the lights so we packed up in the car and headed out. She LOVED sitting in Chris's lap in the passenger seat (Chris drove last year so I let him ride this year) and we didn't have many people in front of or behind us so we went really slow and stopped at the lights. She pointed and danced and said "WOAH!"... and then sang and talked and giggled...... it was awesome.
Right at the very end she started getting a little sleepy - it was 20 min past her bedtime - so we put her back in her carseat when the lights were over and headed back home. Needless to say - AC fell asleep in the car on the way home :)
It was such a great day and we just love seeing how she can enjoy Christmas differently this year!

AC's 15 month checkup (at 16mos)
AC had her "15 month" checkup today - just 1 month late ;)
Here are her stats:
Height: 31" (56%)
Weight: 21lbs 12oz (26%)
Head: 46.5cm (62%)
While waiting for Dr. Carter she walked around the room non stop - back and forth.... she was happy as a clam singing and being herself... until he came in ;) But she did pretty good - just kept telling him "No" and pushing his hand away.
She has hit and exceeded all of her milestones and overall the doc said she's doing great! Well... there were 2 we were unsure of. One is kicking a ball - we've never really had a ball for her to kick so we didn't know. The other was can she use a fork (she has mastered the spoon, but we've never given her a fork). So when we came home I found a ball and put it down, kicked it to her and said "Anna can you kick it?" She looked at the ball pulled her foot back and said "KICKIT" and then kicked the ball!! Ok - pass ;) For dinner that night I gave her a fork and carrots and showed her how to stab the carrots with a fork. At first she kept handing the fork back to me after every bite, but then I walked away and she started stabbing the carrots with a fork and feeding herself! Pass! So 100% on milestones :)
He said he still hears the heart murmur but he said it's a functional murmur and is common with growing in young children and that we would keep an eye on it until her 2year checkup and then go from there.
She got her Hib shot and Prevnar- still waiting on the MMR and we didnt do the flu vaccine either. She really wasnt that fussy (maybe because she brought TWO 'baby go's' in and had a paci...) and she kept telling us night night because poor thing was exhausted. It was well past her nap time.
She came home and went straight to sleep. We are so proud of our little girl!!! She is such an amazing blessing and we were so glad to have a good healthy check up!!

An actress in the making
She sings, she dances, she knows every motion to the itsy bitsy spider... it's ANNA CLAIRE!!!!
Yes, I swear we will see her name in lights one day. This girl love, love LOVES to sing and will shake her booty to any song. She has also gotten really good at acting out the words to her favorite songs and she will sing the words too!!
For itsy bitsy spider she will start by saying "Pi-da" (spider) to let me know she wants me to sing it. Then she will do the spider movement, down came the rain, wash the spider out, out came the sun and then the spider again!!
She also does pretty much all the movements for Little Bunny Foo Foo and still says GOON when it's time.
She sings Row Row Row for row row row your boat
She will sing the first part of the tune to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star using her own words
And she will do all them movements for Pat-A-Cake. She also says "Pa-ka, Pa-ka, Pa-ka" (pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake) then says "Rooooooo" (roll 'em), "Paaaaa" (pat 'em) and then at the end of the song when we get to the "put them in the oven for Anna...." she will scream "AND ME"!!

Catching Up
So much has gone on in the past month. It is AMAZING how much Anna has learned in just one month!! She talks non stop. I quit keeping track of her new words because she will literally repeat almost anything we say. Some of her most popular words she uses on a daily basis:
She will at least try bites of what we are eating, however she still prefers her regular items (cheese toast, string cheese, peaches, oranges, bananas, greek yogurt, peas, carrots, waffles, biscuits, pasta, mac and cheese and we just started her back on the earth's best baby food jar meats because she still refuses to eat any type of meat or eggs... but she eats the jar meats so whatever. )
She LOOOOVES to be outside. Seriously, when we take her outside it's almost impossible to get her back in. She gets this from her daddy.
She's busy. That's just the best way to put it. When she is playing in the play room or in the den she just walks around non stop climbing on the fire place and in chairs, getting up and down from the sofa, picking up stuff and moving it, crawling under our legs, pulling toys out... just non-stop movement.
She sleeps like a champ - she's down to 1 real good nap a day but she also usually goes for a "detox" also. She will go to her bed really easily and if she's not quite tired she will just play and sing in her bed until she falls asleep. She goes to bed about 8pm and wakes up anywhere from 8-9am. She still takes her paci but only in her bed. We haven't attempted to take it away just yet because it seems to be a calming comfort to her so we just dont see the point right now. I've already started phasing it out in the car. She only gets it on LONG trips when she's about ready to fall asleep.
Oh and she's trying to count! I know - you probably don't believe me - I'll get video... but we always count with her and she will match the inflection in our voice and make up her own short words and move her finger on pieces of things like she's counting. She also loves to stack ANYTHING - food, toys, you name it and she will "count" as she does it.
She is just so much fun and we are just amazed at how much she has learned. I never knew I could be this in love with something or someone - it's just a love you can't even explain. I look back at pictures and can't believe how much she's grown, matured and changed. I know I'm totally biased but I think she's the BEST, cutest and most awesome kid in the whole wide world!!!

In the meantime here is a little photo of her out in the yard (notice she has a pony tail which totally changes the look of her face I think!)
- "Wish" (fish) - we were fish sitting for a friend and this became an everyday word - post to come...
- "Bye-ya-yu" (bye, love you) - she says this when she is getting off her pretend phone, when she's leaving a room or when someone drives away.
- "Baby Go" (baby doll) - we cant decide if she is trying to say baby doll or if she got it from when we would ask "where did your baby go?". She LOVES her baby and has been saying "baby" for a while now - but out of no where she started calling it "Baby Go". She gives her big kisses and we even saw her playing pat-a-cake with her baby last night! (more to come)
- Peaches - she actually says this one clear as day.
- Amen - when we bless our food she will say AMEN right when we say "In Christ name we pray...". The first time she said it - it totally surprised us! I guess that just goes to show that she listens to every thing we say and I guess it's routine enough for her to pick on the fact that we always say Amen at the end!!!
- "Aw Gaw" (all gone or all done - I can't tell - we use both)
- "Use" (shoes)
- Cheese
- Water
- Toes
- Go, Up, Down
- "Da-dig-a-daddy" (D-Daddy), MooMoo, Papa, Nana
- Potty, Pee pee, poo poo - she even says "wan-go-pa-tee?"

Thanksgiving
Let me start by saying we have SO much to be thankful for... Two wonderful loving families that raised us (and still raise us haha)... a BEAUTIFUL and VERY SMART daughter... three crazy pets.... a loving dedicated marriage... a nice home... oh I could just go on forever. We are truly, truly blessed!!
Anyway - this Thanksgiving we had plans to go to Tryon, but had so much going on here it was going to be hard to go up and come back and still get everything done. So then we planned to go to the farm in Hurtsboro for a day - and the "stuff" just got in the way (plus we just decided it was too long of a trip for AC to make in one day)... so then we decided to go to my parents for a small fam dinner. Caron and Michael were able to make it because it wasn't on Thanksgiving day so it was nice to see them.
We had the typical Bell family meal of ham, green beans, sweet potato casserole, dinner rolls and mac and cheese. AC got to run around and play with Wyatt and Allie and had a blast.
OH - and we also got our hard backed books from Aunt Bev of our entire family history tracing back to the Mayflower!! We are actually descendants of Francis Cooke who was one of the few men to survive the winter and celebrate the first Thanksgiving!!! I'll have to post more on this book... it's HUGE and has photos, stories and so much family history - it's truly a treasure!!

"Wish" the Fish
Let's start at the beginning....
My friend Heather was planning her son's 2nd birthday party - an Elmo theme. Of course I butted in and asked if I could be of assistance... long story short - I suggested she have a fish bowl with a gold fish in it - just like Elmo does (his fish's name is Dorothy). So she got a .33 cent goldfish from walmart. Neither of us thought the fish would last that long... it's a goldfish - you know how that goes. Well, weeks go by and the fish is still alive. MONTHS go by and the fish is still alive... And now Heather and her family have a week long trip planned - so they need a "fish sitter".
I volunteered because I like fish and I thought it would be fun for AC to watch the fish. We pick up Goldie in a stereotypical fish bowl and bring him home. Anna immediately sees him and says "WISH! SEE WISH!" and points to the mantle where the fish is living. We picked her up to see the fish and her little face just LIT UP.
Every morning she would wake up saying "See wish? Wish? See wish?" so we would pick her up and let her see the 'wish'. A few days of 'fish sitting' and Chris and my parents started getting concerned that the fish bowl wasnt big enough for the fish and that he was possibly bored. Yes. The fish looked bored.
In comes Google. We started googling 'gold fish care' and found that they actually need at least 3 gallons of water for every inch long that they are. Well - Goldie (now "Wish") was about 2.5" so yes, he needed a bigger tank. Just remember - at this point we are still only FISH SITTING.
Days go by of googling and AC getting more and more attached to Wish asking for him non-stop and once we started letting her feed him - it was like it was her job. "Fee Wish, Fee wish!!??"
A week went by and it was time to return Wish to his home - but Chris and I had pretty much decided that WE wanted a goldfish - so I decided to give Heather an option. I could give her the fish back - or if she was tired of taking care of him (remember, she didn't think he would last this long... even suggested flushing him hahaha) we would take him!
She said that we treated him better than they did and we could have him hahahhaha. So we immediately went to Walmart and got a 10gallon aquarium, rocks, plants, and water purifier. Later that night Wish had a new home and he seems to love it!!
Anna LOVES going to visit Wish in our room - and we put him down low (on a night stand) so she can see him. Just about every morning and every night it's Anna's job to feed Wish and she LOVES to do it. One little pellet at a time she will drop the food in. She will even try to open the drawer where we keep the food when we ask her "do you want to go feed Wish?"
I just love that she has her very own pet and she's already learning to take care of it!

In comes Google. We started googling 'gold fish care' and found that they actually need at least 3 gallons of water for every inch long that they are. Well - Goldie (now "Wish") was about 2.5" so yes, he needed a bigger tank. Just remember - at this point we are still only FISH SITTING.
Days go by of googling and AC getting more and more attached to Wish asking for him non-stop and once we started letting her feed him - it was like it was her job. "Fee Wish, Fee wish!!??"
A week went by and it was time to return Wish to his home - but Chris and I had pretty much decided that WE wanted a goldfish - so I decided to give Heather an option. I could give her the fish back - or if she was tired of taking care of him (remember, she didn't think he would last this long... even suggested flushing him hahaha) we would take him!
She said that we treated him better than they did and we could have him hahahhaha. So we immediately went to Walmart and got a 10gallon aquarium, rocks, plants, and water purifier. Later that night Wish had a new home and he seems to love it!!
Anna LOVES going to visit Wish in our room - and we put him down low (on a night stand) so she can see him. Just about every morning and every night it's Anna's job to feed Wish and she LOVES to do it. One little pellet at a time she will drop the food in. She will even try to open the drawer where we keep the food when we ask her "do you want to go feed Wish?"
I just love that she has her very own pet and she's already learning to take care of it!
This is a horrible video because she is totally uninterested in Wish, but it's the only one I have right now and I'm anxious to get caught up on the blog hahaha

Anna finishes the prayer
The other day when Chris was blessing our food he got to the "In Christ name we pray..." Anna blurted out AMEN. I almost couldn't believe it so we said it again.. and she said 'AMEN' hahahha
She does it pretty much every meal unless she is distracted with food ;)

Monkey Joes - Date with Owen
Christi and I were looking for something fun for the kids to do other than just a play date so we decided to take them to Monkey Joes. I've heard a lot about it and went to a bouncy place for Wyatt's Bday (actually I guess that's the first time AC went to one, but she was too young to really know what was going on).
Anyway - the place was HUGE..... we went upstairs to the little bouncy thing for toddlers and let Owen and Anna explore. AC wasn't too sure of it all - Owen jumped right in and was sliding and climbing in no time.
After about an hour AC finally started warming up to it all but she REALLY started liking it once we went down the BIG slide together!!!! She loved that and kept wanting to do it again and again... unfortunately I was worn out by the time we discovered how much she liked it. Man - that's a workout climbing through those things.
Anyway - we will be back. I think she will appreciate it more next time we go now that she's getting more active.

Halloween with Little Red Riding Hood
We started Halloween with a little Trick or Treat on the square in Newnan. Every year the shops on the square in Newnan come outside and hand out candy to all the little kiddies in town. It's nice because we can get the feeling of trick or treating without much knocking and rejection ;)
We met our friends Heather and Sean and their two boys Carter and Cooper - and Christi and her Dad and Mother in Law with Owen. Cooper was Micky Mouse, Cooper was a bear and Owen was a greaser!!
They had fun being pushed around even though it was a little cold. There were a LOT of folks out this year (last year it was raining) so we made it down two sides of the square then kinda had to rush down the 4th (we completely bypassed the third side haha). By the end the kids were ready to go home!!
On Halloween day all the girls and their kiddos met up at Summergrove to take pics in their costumes. I already had a million pics of AC in hers so we just went in casual clothes ;) We took some pics and just kinda hung out. I was trying to give a mini photo lesson - but we were distracted with kids running everywhere hahhaa.

This pic of AC was taken almost exactly a year ago today!! Look how much she has changed!!
Later that night AC and I went to Walmart to get some candy and when we came home there was literally a TRAILER full of kids that we had just missed! We waited, and waited and waited.... and no kids, so we walked across the street to our neighbors house to show them Anna and Piper's costume. We ended up hanging out with them for a while, then headed back home.
We ended up having about 10 more kids come through... We missed a lot of them being at the neighbors house but the ones that we did get got a LOT of candy!!
